Sourwood honey is one of the rarest varietal honeys in North America.
Honeybees collect nectar during the brief summer bloom of Sourwood trees growing throughout the Southern Appalachian Mountains. When weather, bloom, and timing come together, the result is a harvest treasured by beekeepers and honey lovers throughout the South.
Exceptionally clear with a light golden-straw color, Sourwood offers delicate notes of warm cinnamon pastry, buttery caramel, and a refined maple finish that lingers gently on the palate. Its smooth, elegant flavor has earned recognition in international honey competitions and made it one of the South's most celebrated honeys.
Enjoy it by the spoonful, stirred into a warm cup of tea, drizzled over biscuits or toast, or anywhere you want a little natural sweetness.
Produced by Inspira Homestead in partnership with fellow beekeeper Mike Keeley and his bees in Little Switzerland, North Carolina. Every jar reflects their commitment to healthy bees, thoughtful stewardship, and the landscapes that make this honey possible.
