Our Story

Southern Grounds Coffee Co. was built on hard work, early mornings, and the belief that a good cup of coffee still matters.

For more than 20 years, our family has lived the offshore oilfield life. From drilling rigs to production platforms around the world, that life has meant long hitches, early call times, rough weather, and demanding days that require grit, discipline, and endurance.

Out there, the day starts early — and coffee matters.

Somewhere along the way, one thing became clear: not all coffee is created equal.

While others settled for burnt, bitter, gritty breakroom coffee, our founder became known for making the good coffee. The kind crews looked forward to before sunrise. The kind coworkers talked about when he was home on leave. The kind that made hard mornings a little better.

That reputation followed him from rig to rig and platform to platform.

Back home in Southeast Alabama, where faith, family, and hard work still mean something, the idea for Southern Grounds Coffee Co. was born: bring that same quality coffee to hardworking people everywhere.

We believe coffee should be:

  • bold when the day demands it
  • smooth when the morning starts slow
  • dependable every single cup
  • worth waking up for

Whether you’re heading offshore, working a long shift, running a farm, building something with your hands, or getting the family moving before sunrise — we’re proud to be part of your routine.

From our Southern roots to your first cup,

Damn Good Coffee for Hardworking People.
